ABOUT YOUR HOST

Hi! My name is Amy. I’ve been wandering around the world for a while, discovering different places to call home. Originally I’m from NY, I’ve also lived in New Orleans, San Francisco, and South Africa. I loved them all, and did a whole lot of traveling in between. Now I’m excited to call Costa Rica my home! The Caribbean coast is an amazing place. I love where I live and I’m so happy to be able to share it with so many fun people from around the world!

Working as a bartender supported my vagabond ways for twenty years of my life and I had a blast the entire time! I started working in restaurants when I was a teenager and basically never left. I did spend some time working in the kitchen, but the bar was definitely where I thrived. I love food and beverage in a passionate way, I love to cook and make drinks, the best is sharing it with you! I truly enjoy seeing my guests happy and having a good time in my home. It is my goal for you to feel comfortable, and most importantly, for you to feel like you have a friend to take care of you in Costa Rica. We want you to feel like you’re a part of the family here!

My aim at Hidden Jungle Beach House is to provide a personalized guest experience. Tell me what kind of trip you want to have and I will help you get there. Puerto Viejo has something for everyone! I want you to feel like you have a real home in the jungle. That means having fresh juices and tasty snacks around. A kitchen with breakfast ingredients on hand for you to cook when you wake up. Even cold beer around now and then! I live in a separate cottage on the property, so don’t worry, you’ll have plenty of privacy. I will be available to take great care of you, I’m happy to be around as much or as little as you would like. If you feel like chatting, slinging drinks and gallivanting around the globe for a few decades has blessed me with suitcases full of stories to entertain you with. So come on down, we’ll have lots of fun. Catch me over some guaro one evening and I’ll tell you about the time I broke my knee on Machu Picchu!

Hope to see you soon!
